HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

We want to wish all of you a very healthy, happy and prosperous New Year 2008. As we celebrated this New Years Eve, it was so surreal to think back to last year's celebration of welcoming in 2007 and be able so say that we honestly had no idea that we would have traveled this amazing journey to Ethiopia and that we would have three more children by this years celebration of 2008. What a difference a year makes. What an amazing God we serve. He really took us on the most amazing adventure we have ever experienced yet. We are so excited and praying for the Lord to continue to do HIS work in us and use us for HIS glory in this new year. We have several very exciting things on our prayer list in 2008 that we hope to be sharing with you as you join us on this journey through our blog.

Please leave us comments so we know you are with us. Just click the comment line at the bottom of the post and you can click on anonymous and leave your name and email. You don't have to have a gmail account. Thank you to all of you who are following along, we are truly blessed.

May God richly bless you and call you into His presence like never before!

Hey Eileen! Carla here. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I know that you are busy getting ready for your trip, when you get back I would love to see you and catch up. Also, see your beautiful children again. You and your family are in my prayers and I pray this benefit will be a huge success. I am excited to here what God is doing in your life right now. Nothing here, just waiting for funds to move forward. Miss you, sister!!!!!

HI there!
Happy New Year!
Thanks for your encouragement. We're still waiting, but I'm praying without ceasing throughout the day and listening to the best praise music with my kids all day long. So, this wait period has brought us closer to our Father. Although it's painful at times, it's the goal, right? To bring glory to God alone. That's pretty great!
Thanks for your prayers!

I love reading about your story. Can you tell me how you were able to adopt such young age children at your age. When I go to your agency's site it would indicate that at your age (and mine too) that you would not be able to adopt a child under the age of 7.

Response to the question "How did you get children under 7 year at your age?" This is one of the many miracles of our adoption journey. According to many, we do not qualify for babies because of our ages. BUT GOD DECIDES WHO, HOW, WHEN AND WHERE HE PLACES THE ORPHANS IN THIER FAMILIES!!!!JOB 42

We just adopted a son, Shoa, from Kolfe in February, as well as his biological sister. These children are wonderful and we feel so blessed to have them in our lives and our family (we have 4 children now). While at Kolfe, we bought a computer for the Director of Kolfe, and he asked if we could spread the word to get more computers for the boys of Kolfe to learn on. --Rebecca Bliss
