TWO MORE KOLFE BOYS ADOPTED AND COMING HOME!

When Georgie and I went to Solomon's graduation last August, sixteen new little boys were transferred from Kebebetsehay to Kolfe. We were there when they arrived and so many of them looked scared and sad. We both were very intentional about paying a lot of attention to and hugging on them. We went shopping and got each one a new back pack with toiletries and school supplies to help cheer them up. While we loved on all of them, there were two brothers that stole Georgie's heart. He kept telling me he didn't understand what was happening but he knew we were supposed to be very intentional about getting these boys adopted. Because he is not married he knew he could not adopt them but he knew they were supposed to be adopted by a US family. He took them out to eat, shopping and started writing to them when we got home. When we talked on the phone he would always tell me "You gotta get my boys adopted I!" (My family calls me "I")

Well as the LORD would have it, I got an email from Leslie Kudna one day telling me they were in the adoption process already and felt led to adopt two boys. They were already with Gladney and wanted to know if we knew any boys available at Kolfe. We sent the pictures of "Georgie's boys" immediately and then scheduled a phone call. We talked for about three hours and prayed for the Lord to give them wisdom and direction.

Well we just got this email from them a few hours ago:

Eileen and George

I just wanted to let you know we are back from our first trip to Ethiopia. We passed court on 7/30 so Habtamu and Getaneh officially became our sons. The boys are wonderful. I think we’re all a little nervous, but they used the older boys to translate and ask us lots of questions. We were able to see them every day except one…. we were only supposed to be able to see them 3 times so we skipped Wednesday – We were able to take the boys one day for lunch and a trip to the playground. They seemed to love it and we all had fun climbing around together.

While we were there we ended up buying plates for all the boys and one day we had pizza. We wanted to be able to share a meal with them. All the Kolfe boys are such a joy to be with. I didn’t want to leave each day.
We will be returning in a couple of weeks for our Embassy appointment. The boys will be HOME on September 5.

Eileen, I’m glad to hear Solomon is settling in well.

Leslie

Please Help With Our Fund Raiser

Would you please help us with our new fund raiser? Jerry got a new job with Geico Insurance and one of the employee benefits available to us is an opportunity to earn $15 for every quote he solicits. All you have to do is call for a free insurance quote and enter his ID Number. You don't have to buy anything. We are praying for a minimum of 1000 quotes by December. All you are doing is giving us 15 minutes of your time and he will get the credit for it.

We have been praying for the Lord to help us with the debt we have incurred by being out of work for three years out of the last six. With Solomon added to our family, we have even more expenses now for his school books and living expenses. We would be so grateful if you could just give us 15 minutes of your time and please spread the word to everyone you know. It will not cost you anything but your time. We are praying however, that every person that calls does get the blessing of saving money as well from your existing insurance. Wouldn't that be just like the Lord to give us both the blessing!

Go Online or Call for a Free Rate Quote at geico.com/friends or 1(800)-342-9070 and enter Referral Code 144381. 15minutes can save you 15% or more and we get $15.00 for each quote.

Remember, we don't just do Auto...We insure RV's, Motorcycles, Condos, Renters,...Homeowners, Commercial and ATV's. Geico is the #3 Auto Insurer in the Country. And you have to admit they have some really great commercials...

We greatly appreciate if you could just give us your time and help with this major prayer request. Our goal is to glorify the LORD in every aspect of our lives. To pay off the accumulated dept and to financially provide for the children the Lord has blessed us with would truly help us accomplish this.

If you have any questions please email us. May the Lord Bless you and be glorified!!
